The new Excelsior Mini Grit Bin is an innovative product that is specifically designed for people who need a grit bin but do not want a large yellow bin cluttering up the side of their house or business premises.

We already offer a range of 4 grit bins from 100 litres to 400 litres in capacity, however we are very aware that people in many areas really struggled throughout last year’s Winter due to a shortage of bins and salt available from their local council, so the concept for a small bin aimed at home owners was born. The result is a stylish, compact, lockable bin that is manufactured from environmentally friendly recycled polyethylene plastic and is supplied with 25kg of premium rock salt along with a small moulded scoop.

The bin measures just 475mm wide x 383mm deep x 305mm high so will take up very little space and will comfortably sit outside your house. Even with 25kg of salt it can easily be lifted by the hand holes either side on the base of the bin. It is water tight, extremely durable and is supplied with a barrel lock and 2 keys so can be locked when not in use.

What’s more, it has a moulded tread pattern on the lid so can be used as a step for car cleaning and any number of household / garden activities, plus it can easily be used to store children’s toys or even gardening tools, coal and small logs/kindling!
